Kristen boasts over 17 years of experience in sales, management, and customer service in the hospitality industry. Having started her diverse career history in Boston and Cambridge area's best restaurants Kristen was able to fine-tune her high-level customer service skills in high-pressure environments! While working full-time, she also put herself through college at Lesley University graduating Magna Cum Laude!
Majoring in Education and American Studies she developed a newfound love for Nutrition, Ecology, and Farming all stemming from her studies of the History of the American Farm. The conversation about where our food comes from became one of great importance to her and she realized that much work needs to be completed to assure healthy food availability for all. After joining the Worldwide Organization of Organic Farmers, (WWOOF) Kristen traveled the country volunteering her time on several farms while learning about permaculture and biodiversity. Moving to Vermont in 2013, Kristen put her skills and passion to work and purchased a little farm in Whitingham where she grew a successful 100% grass-fed beef farm from the ground up.
An active member of the community, Kristen served on the planning commission for 3 years and helped write the town plan and revise the zoning laws for the Town of Whitingham. Here she gained valuable knowledge and connections that will be true assets to her clients. She is currently a library trustee for the Jacksonville Public Library in Whitingham as well!
